They are packed full of creamy British oats and plump dried fruits which gives a great start to any morning especially if it’s chilly and dark.  When eaten as part of a diet which is low in saturated fat, oats can help reduce blood cholesterol which is good for your heart.  Oats are also a slow releasing complex carbohydrate which helps to sustain energy levels through to lunchtime.

Where can I buy them?

Dorset Cereals Porridges are available from all good independent stores and Tesco and Waitrose stores from November.  Each box is priced at £1.89 for 8 x 30g sachets for the ‘Fruity Porridges’ (Cranberry & Raspberry and Apple & Raisin) and £1.89 for 10 x 30g sachets of the classic ‘Simply Porridge’.
